In the following sections, the main regional approaches to the liberalized movement of persons are presented in greater detail. By looking at examples of different regional agreements it is possible to understand the ways in which provisions relating to entry, residence, employment and ancillary policies (specifically focusing on social security and recognition of qualifications) facilitate or hinder the free movement of persons.
