Ghana clearly has the potential to regain its position as a front runner in Africa for FDI. However, it needs to recover lost ground: improvements in economic performance needs to be sustained and remnants of the prolonged economic crisis removed. Macroeconomic instability, weak infrastructure, low productivity and lack of local business partners, all deter FDI. Several wide-ranging actions are needed to restore investor confidence
