Integrating civil registration, vital statistics, population registers and identity management

As mentioned in previous chapters, vital statistics and civil registration are separate entities, but it is crucial that they be established, maintained and employed as components of a coordinated and coherent system for registering and producing vital statistics. In addition, the emergence of interconnections between civil registration and identity management systems adds yet another dimension to the structure of the civil registration and vital statistics system.
