THE use of modern farm machinery has grown up mainly in the industrialized countries of Europe and North America and in certain agricultural areas developed in comparatively recent times, e.g., Oceania. Use of modern equipment is making fairly rapid progress in parts of Latin America, but so far has found little application in southern and eastern Asia mid in the bulk of the African continent.
