Reducing extreme poverty lies at the heart of the United Nations’ efforts to promote development. Progress has been uneven and every avenue towards poverty alleviation needs to be continuous lyre-examined. This chapter presents a framework for assessing the impact on poverty of ICT use and production by enterprises. It stresses the importance of considering different aspects of poverty as well as the diversity of both ICTs and enterprises in the analysis.
