This section presents an overview of the trade structure in Indonesia with respect to product groups and trading partners. Indonesia had a trade surplus of US$54.5 billion in 2022 (table 2), and it mainly exports mineral fuels, lubricants, and related materials, particularly coal and gas, and manufactured goods such as garments and sports shoes. This is followed by exports of animal and vegetable oils, especially exports of palm oil, machinery and transport equipment such as fourwheel motor vehicles and electrical equipment, and miscellaneous manufactured goods.
