Communication

image of Communication

Responsibility for food safety is shared along the food chain. To ensure that sufficient information on food safety issues is available throughout the chain, organizations need to establish mechanisms for effectively communicating with their suppliers and contractors, customers or consumers, statutory and regulatory authorities and others that have an impact on, or will be affected by, the effectiveness or updating of their system. It is particularly important to provide information about food safety hazards that need to be controlled by other organizations along the chain.
