The Criminal Justice Handbook Series is a series of tools developed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to support countries in implementing the rule of law and the development of crime prevention and criminal justice reform. It can be used in a variety of contexts including as part of UNODC technical assistance and capacity-building projects both as a reference document and as a training tool.

A series of monographs that examine in a regional scope the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC)'s outlook in different areas. Since 2014 this series merged with the series "ECLAC Notes". Titles in this series are grouped in four subseries: Economic development social development sustainable development and planning for development.

UNECE’s work on sustainable energy is designed to improve access to affordable and clean energy for all and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the carbon footprint of the energy sector in the region. It promotes international policy dialogue and cooperation among governments energy industries and other stakeholders.  The focus  is on energy efficiency cleaner electricity production from fossil fuels renewable energy coal mine methane natural gas classification of energy and mineral reserves and resources and energy security.

The Human Rights Committee is the body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights by its State parties. All States parties are obliged to submit regular reports to the Committee on how the rights are being implemented. The Committee examines each report and addresses its concerns and recommendations to the State party in the form of "concluding observations”.

This series aims to enhance the application of integrated water resources management (IWRM) concepts in the region with the explicit objectives to: (a) provide regional water practitioners and decision makers with concise but comprehensive reports on specific topics related to the sustainable management of available water resources; (b) establish an authoritative basis for managing the available resources; and (c) secure potential input of updated information and data on the ESCWA region to the United Nations WWDR series.

Training and Educational materials consist of guides manuals and handbooks for indigenous peoples minorities professional groups (e.g. police prison officials judges parliamentarians human rights monitors election monitors and social workers) and educational institutions.

Parliaments and parliamentarians have a key role to play in promoting and protecting human rights. This Handbook aims to assist parliamentarians and others in efforts to realize the Convention so that persons with disabilities can achieve the transition from exclusion to equality. It seeks to raise awareness of the Convention and its provisions promote an appreciation of disability concerns and assist parliaments in understanding the mechanisms and frameworks needed to translate the Convention into practice. By providing examples and insights it is hoped that the Handbook will serve as a useful tool for parliamentarians to promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities all over the world.

The studies in this series have been published by ESCAP/ADB/UNDP in a joint project on MDGs in Asia and the Pacific. They look at key drivers which have propelled MDG achievements in the region and which are likely to remain important in the region’s quest for reaching the Goals by 2015. They focus specifically on three areas where increased and sustained policy attention would be required: hunger and food security; health and basic services; and basic infrastructure. The series is a resource which policy makers development practitioners and other stakeholders should find useful in achieving the MDGs.

This series focuses on developments in international and intra-regional trade as well as economic and social development in Asia and the Pacific as curated by researchers on the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development´s Investment Policy Reviews provide an objective evaluation of the country´s legal regulatory and institutional framework for FDI to attract increased foreign and direct investment as well as how to maximize the benefits from it. The review includes FDI entry and establishment treatment and protection of investment taxation the business environment and sectoral regulations. The strategic analysis is tailored to country needs. Recommendations are concrete and action-oriented.

The General Assembly Official Records (GAOR) consist of meeting records of the Plenary and Main Committees. The GAOR also comprise supplements including reports of the other principal organs of the United Nations; reports of subsidiary bodies; resolutions and decisions of the General Assembly; annexes and selected documents organized by agenda item. For each session of the General Assembly resolutions and decisions are compiled and issued as a supplement to the General Assembly Official Records.

UNCTAD's Series on International Investment Agreements analyses the key concepts of core IIA provisions. The "First-generation Pink Series" (1999-2005) sought to help countries participate as effectively as possible in international investment rule-making. The "Sequels" update and complement this Series analysing how key issues in IIA provisions have evolved particularly focusing on treaty practice and arbitral decisions. In line with UNCTAD's mandate the Sequels analyse the development impact of IIA provisions and their respective formulations and give policy options that strengthen the sustainable-development aspect of IIAs. Both generations represent a standard reference tool for IIA negotiators policymakers the private sector academia and other stakeholders.
