Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2020

It covers more than 130 countries and provides an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at global, regional and national levels, based primarily on trafficking cases detected between 2017 and 2019. As UNODC has been systematically collecting data on trafficking in persons for more than a decade, trend information is presented for a broad range of indicators.

Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2018
Language: EnglishPublication Date: January 2019More LessThe 2018 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons (Booklet 1) provides a comprehensive analysis of the crime of trafficking in persons and how countries are responding to it. On the basis of the mandate from the 2010 Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, UNODC is collecting data on patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at the national, regional and international levels, and using this data to produce the biennial Global Report. The Trafficking in Persons in the Context of Armed Conflict (Booklet 2) provides an extensive desk review of available literature, court cases from the international criminal courts and tribunals and expert interviews with United Nations peacekeeping personnel. The result is an overview of trafficking in persons and its direct and indirect links to armed conflict.

Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2016
Language: EnglishPublication Date: January 2017More LessThe UNODC Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2016 is the third of its kind mandated by the United Nations General Assembly. In July 2010, the UNGA adopted the Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons. The Report covers and provides an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at the global, regional and national levels, based on trafficking cases detected mainly between 2012 and 2014. It looks at links between trafficking in persons, migration and conflict, and how refugees may be particularly vulnerable to being trafficked. The worldwide response to trafficking in persons, particularly in terms of criminalization and prosecution of trafficking crimes, is also a focus of this edition of the Global Report. Also included are the Country Profiles.

Global report on trafficking in persons 2014

The 2014 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons is the second in a biennial series of UNODC reports on this topic. The Report, which is primarily based on officially reported information from Governments across the world, focuses on patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at the global, regional and national levels. The aim of the Report is twofold: firstly, to foster a better understanding of this crime, and secondly, to strengthen the collective response to it. This edition also includes the Country Profiles showing statistical data for the years 2010 through to 2013 in some cases.

Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2012
Language: EnglishPublication Date: December 2012More LessThe present Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2012 is one of the outcomes of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, adopted by the General Assembly in 2010. The General Assembly tasked the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) with data collection and biennial reporting on patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at the global, regional and national levels, to be carried out in close collaboration with national authorities. This report presents a global overview of the patterns and flows of trafficking in persons and discusses the efforts countries have made to combat trafficking in persons and the progress that has been made since the Trafficking in Persons Protocol1 entered into force in 2003.
