The Economic and Social Council serves as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues, and for formulating policy recommendations addressed to Member States and the United Nations system. ECOSOC is responsible for coordinating the economic, social and related work of UN specialized agencies, their functional commissions and five regional commissions. ECOSOC comprises 54 members.

The Security Council’s annual report covers questions considered by the Security Council and matters brought to its attention as well as the work of the Council's subsidiary bodies during the reporting period (1 August - 31 July). In addition, it contains annexes relating, inter alia, to the membership of the Council, the representatives accredited to it, Presidents in the reporting period as well as meetings held and actions taken by the Council and its subsidiary bodies.

Le Conseil économique et social est l’instance centrale de discussion concernant les questions économiques et sociales internationales et de formulation de recommandations politiques adressées aux États membres et au système des Nations Unies. Le Conseil est chargé de coordonner les travaux économiques, sociaux et connexes des institutions spécialisées des Nations Unies, de leurs commissions techniques et de cinq commissions régionales. Le Conaeil comprend 54 membres.

The Conference on Disarmament (CD), established in 1979 as the single multilateral disarmament negotiating forum of the international community, was a result of the first Special Session on Disarmament of the United Nations General Assembly. It succeeded other Geneva-based negotiating fora, which include the Ten-Nation Committee on Disarmament (1960), the Eighteen-Nation Committee on Disarmament (1962-68), and the Conference of the Committee on Disarmament (1969-78). The terms of reference of the CD include practically all multilateral arms control and disarmament problems. Currently the CD primarily focuses its attention on the following issues: cessation of the nuclear arms race and nuclear disarmament; prevention of nuclear war, including all related matters; prevention of an arms race in outer space; effective international arrangements to assure non-nuclear-weapon States against the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons; new types of weapons of mass destruction and new systems of such weapons including radiological weapons; comprehensive programme of disarmament and transparency in armaments.

The Committee against Torture (CAT) is the body of 10 independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment by its State parties. All States parties are obliged to submit regular reports to the Committee on how the rights are being implemented. The Committee examines each report and addresses its concerns and recommendations to the State party in the form of "concluding observations".

Human Development Reports (HDRs) have been released most years since 1990 and have explored different themes through the human development approach. They have had an extensive influence on development debate worldwide. The reports, produced by the Human Development Report Office for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), are ensured of editorial independence by the United Nation’s General Assembly.

L’annuaire de la CNUDCI est une compilation de tous les documents de fond relatifs aux travaux de la Commission et de ses groupes de travail. Il reproduit également le rapport annuel de la Commission, publié en tant que supplément n° 17 des Documents officiels de l’Assemblée générale. L’annuaire est publié en anglais, en français, en russe et en espagnol.
