Adopción de medidas penales en relación con las prohibiciones establecidas en la CAB (medidas pertinentes a los artículos I, III y IV)
El artículo IV de la CAB establece que «[c]ada Estado Parte en la presente Convención adoptará, en conformidad con sus procedimientos constitucionales, las medidas necesarias para prohibir y prevenir el desarrollo, la producción, el almacenamiento, la adquisición o la retención de los agentes, toxinas, armas, equipos y vectores especificados en el artículo I de la Convención en el territorio de dicho Estado, bajo su jurisdicción o bajo su control en cualquier lugar».

عملًا بالمادة الرابعة من اتفاقية الأسلحة البيولوجية، يجب على كل دولة طرف، "وفقًا لقواعدها الدستورية، اتخاذ أي تدابير لازمة لحظر ومنع استحداث أو إنتاج أو تخزين أو حيازة أو الاحتفاظ بالعوامل والتكسينات والأسلحة والمعدات ووسائل الإيصال المنصوص عليها في المادة الأولى من الاتفاقية، في أراضي هذه الدولة، أو في أي مكان خاضع لولايتها أو لرقابتها أينما كان."

Contexto general
La aplicación nacional de la CAB es el proceso consistente en aplicar la Convención a escala nacional, dentro del sistema jurídico específico de un Estado parte, y llevar a efecto las obligaciones recogidas en la CAB.
