Nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation issues

Since the Beginning of the Nuclear Age, the international community has been seized with nuclear issues. Nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation have been addressed within and outside the United Nations and a number of bilateral, regional and multilateral agreements have been concluded. These instruments have led to the reduction of nuclear arsenals and the exclusion of deployment of nuclear weapons from certain environments and regions. International norms to prevent the proliferation and the testing of such weapons have been established.
