CARICOM’s Legislative Drafting Facility was established to harmonize laws of the Community and to facilitate the enactment of member States’ domestic legislation by providing technical assistance. In terms of UNSCR 1540, it hopes to act as the focal point of contact between the United Nations and its member States, as a conduit for information regarding reporting requirements/obligations and as the facilitator of legislation/regulations to implement international obligations.
