IAEA: Regional implementation priorities in the nuclear area

The IAEA employs an integrated approach to nuclear security and seeks to address the needs of all geographic regions. The Integrated Nuclear Security Support Plans (INSSPs) is a mechanism to help States set priorities, schedule implementation measures, provide input to training plans and enhance the analytical utilization of information from the illicit trafficking database while offering insight into potential threats and vulnerabilities in protection systems. The Agency also supports States’ efforts to upgrade border controls to better detect illicit trafficking of nuclear material and related technology.
