Introductory remarks: Ángel Lossada Torres-Quevedo

The implementation of UNSCR 1540 is a process in which all States must be permanently vigilant and, on a daily basis, scrutinize and improve any shortcomings found in domestic mechanisms. Spain is contributing to the universal application of UNSCR 1540 by organizing regional and subregional seminars, providing technical assistance to countries that need it and promoting the resolution among countries that have not yet taken a position on the matter.
