This independent Assessment of Development Results in Brazil, conducted by the Evaluation Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is part of a series of country-level evaluations. The evaluation examined the UNDP contribution to Brazil’s development from 2002 to 2010 and provides forward-looking recommendations that are useful for the formulation of the new UNDP country programme in Brazil.

Terms of reference

The Evaluation Office (EO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducts country evaluations called Assessment of Development Results (ADRs) to capture and demonstrate evaluative evidence of UNDP’s contribution to development results at the country level, as well as the effectiveness of UNDP’s strategy in facilitating and leveraging national effort for achieving development results. ADRs are carried out within the general provisions contained in the UNDP Evaluation Policy.
