Conclusions: Issues and policies

This concluding chapter summarizes the major findings of the preceding chapters and suggests further research to provide data useful in formulating policies of the developing ECAFE countries toward foreign private investment. It also brings out the need and scope for regional co-operation in reducing the costs of foreign investment and increasing its contributions to the economic development of regional countries.
