The preparation of annual national accounts statistics in Austria is undertaken by the Directorate of Macroeconomic Statistics at STATISTICS AUSTRIA, the Austrian National Statistical Office located in Vienna. The official estimates are published annually on the internet (www.statistik.at), as well as in the Statistical Yearbook. At present, a consistent time series is published back to 1976. The official data are published in "Österreichs volkseinkommen", Beiträge zur Österreichischen Statistik, as well as online (www.statistik.at). In January 2007, a revised version of the comprehensive methodological inventory on GDP compilation was submitted to EUROSTAT. The inventory describes in detail all methods applied in compiling the SNA accounts and exhibits numerical results. This detailed background information as well as other metadata such as quality reports and a quarterly NA inventory is also online available. The data provided to UNSD were received through the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Paris.
