For example, the world Meteorological organization provides online information on tropical cyclones, heavy rain and snow, thunderstorms, gales and fog. The united Nations platform for speace-based information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response makes available space-based scientific knowledge and technology for disaster manageent. In the area of health, the pandemic Influenza Preparedness Framework coordinated by the world Health Organization allows for the rapid collection and analysis of influenzaviruses, increasing national preparedness capacities and equitable access to antivirals and vaccines(box 20).
