Since the fi rst EPR in 2002, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia has made much progress in establishing a comprehensive legal framework and strategies for sustainably managing its forests, conserving biodiversity, and protecting its natural heritage. New laws and rulebooks are fi lling major legal, regulatory, and policy gaps, e.g. the Law on Nature Protection, the Law on Forests, and the Law on Hunting.
