Migración haitiana en Chile: un caso de superexplotación y violación del valor de la fuerza de trabajo
La fuerza de trabajo migrante representa hoy un componente central en el proceso de reproducción del capital y de manera particular en la dinámica del capitalismo dependiente de América Latina y el Caribe. El carácter laboral de la migración permite comprenderla como mano de obra barata para la expansión del capital y como parte constitutiva de un proceso de transferencia de valor desde las economías de origen hacia las economías de destino. En el presente artículo se analiza la superexplotación de la fuerza de trabajo haitiana en Chile a la luz de los planteamientos de la teoría marxista de la dependencia de Ruy Mauro Marini para a partir de esta base comprender la construcción política del migrante irregular y los efectos que ello tiene en la violación del valor de su fuerza de trabajo.

Our guest: Yanick Lahens: “Haiti questions modernity because we see its contradictions”
A leading figure on the Haitian literary scene Yanick Lahens discusses her work. Inspired by the popular and vibrant culture of her country it is a far cry from the usual miserable clichés that abound. Through her singular and poetic stories she also recounts the history of the world’s first Black Republic which is both “a product of modernity and a response to this modernity”.
