In order to reduce packaging and transport costs, your first step should be to compare different methods. In international transactions, transport has a direct impact on key sales contract elements such as price, speed of delivery and the risk of loss or damage. It is essential that the freight forwarder receive all potential relevant information about the sales contract, and that the directions to the freight forwarder be as precise as possible, especially with regard to items such as place of pickup, place of delivery, costs for handling and loading, and amount of required packaging.
