By its resolution 1814 (XVII) of 18 December 1962, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to publish a Juridical Yearbook which would include certain documentary materials of a legal character concerning the United Nations and related inter-governmental organizations. Chapters I and II of the present volume—the second of the series—contain legislative texts and treaty provisions relating to the legal status of the United Nations and related inter-governmental organizations. Decisions given during 1964 by international and national tribunals relating to the legal status of the various organizations will be found in chapters VII and VIII.
