The formula “extradite or prosecute” (in Latin aut dedere aut judicare) is commonly used to designate the alternative obligation concerning the treatment of an alleged offender “... which is contained in a number of multilateral treaties aimed at securing international co-operation in the suppression of certain kinds of criminal conduct”.
