Machinery and transport equipment

After an increase of 20.2 percent in 2011, the value (in current prices) of exports of steam boilers, superheated water boiler; auxiliary plants; parts thereof (SITC group 711) decreased by 4.9 percent in 2012 to amount to 9.3 bln US$ in 2012 (see tables 1 and 2). Imports, on the other hand, increased by 0.3 percent and amounted to 7.3 bln US$ in 2012 (see tables 1 and 3). The decrease in exports for 2012 in this product group was in contrast to both increases in world exports of machinery and transport equipment (SITC section 7) of 0.2 percent and total world exports of 0.3 percent (see graph 1). Exports of steam boilers, superheated water boiler; auxiliary plants; parts thereof (SITC group 711) accounted for 0.2 percent of world exports of SITC section 7 and 0.1 percent of total world exports (see table 1).
