The 2013 International Trade Statistics Yearbook, Volume II - Trade by Commodity contains detailed tables showing international trade for 258 individual commodities (3-digit SITC groups) and eleven world trade tables covering trade values and indices up to the year 2013. The information contained is based on data provided by approximately 175 countries (areas), representing more than 90% of world trade of 2013. In contrast to editions prior to 2013, the International Trade Statistics Yearbook Volume II —Trade by Product now includes integrated presentation of international merchandise trade, and trade in services. The publication is aimed at both specialist trade data users and common audience at large. The presented data, charts and analyses will benefit policy makers, government agencies, non-government organizations, civil society organizations, journalists, academics, researchers, students, businesses and anyone who is interested in trade issues. The information and analyses are presented in a way which can be comprehended by non-expert users of statistics.



Commodities and transactions not classified elsewhere in the SITC

In 2013, the value (in current US$) of exports of "coin (other than gold coin), not being legal tender" (SITC group 961) increased by 2.3 percent (compared to -6.1 percent average growth rate from 2009-2013) to reach 343.0 mln US$ (see table 2), while imports decreased by 1.9 percent to reach 645.2 mln US$ (see table 3). Exports of this commodity accounted for less than 0.1 percent of world exports of SITC section 9, and less than 0.1 percent of total world merchandise exports (see table 1). USA, Germany and Canada were the top exporters in 2013 (see table 2). They accounted for 14.8, 13.6 and 11.0 percent of world exports, respectively. Germany, Singapore and USA were the top destinations, with respectively 61.8, 5.8 and 5.5 percent of world imports (see table 3).
