Introduction: The importance of creating an enabling environment in field locations

Creating an enabling work environment across the United Nations (UN) system is essential to operationalize the organization’s founding principles of equality, justice and respect, and to ensure that no one is left behind, as promised in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
