1945

In 1959, agricultural output was only 1.9 per cent higher than in the preceding year. This growth, which was less than that of the population (2,5 per cent), brought about a slight decline in per capita production which was much lower than the level recorded in 1956 when output was 5.6 per cent higher than in the previous year.
