Main messages and recommendations

This report examines some of the key policy issues underlying the role that tourism can play in Africa’s development process. It finds that tourism can be an engine for transformative and inclusive growth and a complement to development strategies aimed at fostering economic diversification and structural transformation within the right policy context.
