The preparation of national accounts statistics in Portugal is undertaken by the Statistics Portugal (INE), Lisbon. The official estimates are disseminated in the official website, quarterly and annually, under the theme “National Accounts”, INE. The present Inventory of sources and methods describes the methodology used by the Portuguese System of National Accounts (SNCP) base 2000. The description seeks essentially to explain the processes applied in the base year. The following tables have been prepared from successive replies to the United Nations national accounts questionnaire. The data was received through the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Paris.
