Global trade statistics for the year 2011 which are present in this bulletin underline the continued improvement that started in 2010 in the performance of non-oil intraregional trade in the ESCWA region, in all member countries on which data are available. Table (2-1) shows that the intraregional imports of those countries have increased by US$10 billion, at a rate of 23 per cent above the 2010 levels.
