Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials

In contrast with mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (SITC section 3), the value (in current prices) of exports of coal, whether or not pulverized, but not agglomerated (SITC group 321) saw a decline of 8.7 percent in 2012 (see graph 1). This was preceded by a high 34.9 percent increase in 2011. Imports followed the same trend with -4.4 percent change (see table 1). Exports of this product group accounted for 4.0 percent of world exports of SITC section 3 and 0.7 percent of total world exports in 2012.
