Administrative and budgetary questions

On 18 December 1973, the General Assembly, acting on the recommendation of its Fifth (Administrative and Budgetary) Committee, decided to defer consideration of the draft statute of the International Civil Service Commission until its twenty-ninth session, due to open in September 1974, in order to give Governments of Member States more time to study the matter thoroughly and to adopt a position on it. The Assembly requested the secretary-general in the meantime to communicate the text of the draft statute to Governments for comment and to report on the subject in 1974.
