On 19 December 1978 the International Court of Justice delivered a Judgment finding, by 12 votes to 2, that it was without jurisdiction to entertain the Application filed by Greece on 10 August 1976 in its dispute with Turkey concerning the delimitation, exploration and exploitation of the continental shelf in the Aegean Sea.
