World health organization (WHO)

In 2004, the World Health Organization (WHO) continued to implement its corporate strategy by focusing on its core functions, which included efforts to stimulate and advance the eradication of epidemic, endemic and other diseases; promote and conduct research; propose conventions, agreements and regulations; promote cooperation and partnerships; provide information, counsel and assistance in the field of health; and develop, establish and promote relevant international standards on health issues.
