Data processing refers to the stage when survey responses obtained through the administration of the questionnaire are transformed into a database that will be used for tabulation and analysis of the data. Data processing generally entails a combination of automated and manual activities and each step has an impact on the quality of the final results. Activities included at this stage are transfer of data collected through the questionnaire to data files, data coding, data editing and verification, data imputation, data analysis and tabulation, and dissemination of results.
