Globalization has created new threats on the international scene. These threats have affected the security and stability of nations. It has created a wide range of losers, especially in the area of arms trafficking. The security of citizens is at risk, making them losers in the war against arms. Governments are also losing this war. In Africa, arms trafficking is a major threat, fuelled by weak asnd porous borders. Weapons from past conflicts continue to be used in current and emerging conflicts. Arms trafficking has become an increasing force in the first decade of this century.
