Foreword

This year’s Asia-Pacifi c Trade and Investment Report highlights the importance of reviving trade and investment fl ows at a time when the United Nations Member States have just endorsed the centrality of trade and investment as critical means of implementation for the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the related historic, universal and peoplecentric agenda. Advancing the diagnostics and analyses of trade and investment trends, the report off ers perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing trade and investment fl ows in Asia and the Pacifi c against the backdrop of the lingering eff ects of the 2008 global crisis.
