This report reviews three special topics in the field of biological effects of ionizing radiation: genetic effects of radiation, dose-response relationships for radiation-induced cancer and biological effects of pre-natal irradiation. It also reviews recent advances in various areas relevant to the evaluation of genetic radiation hazards to man.
