In 1968, the General Assembly again reviewed the composition of the United Nations Secretariat and the progress made in recruiting the staff of the Secretariat on as wide a geographical basis as possible. In addition, it discussed the question of ensuring a more equitable balance in the use of working languages in the Secretariat. In this connexion, the General Assembly also examined the question of additions to the working languages of United Nations organs.
