This report finds that successful partnerships actively promote community empowerment through engagement of community members in leading to a higher level of ownership of community based energy projects. It aims to provide examples of practical experiences and good practices, to demonstrate that public-private renewable energy partnerships can play an effective role for improving energy access to the rural poor and help to create the inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future we want.



Renewable energy PPP case studies

There are different good practices in many countries in the implementation and sustainable financing of local energy services. It is important to analyze and understand the major factors, criteria and processes to develop PPP models and institutional capacities both at the local and national level to scale up, replicate and mainstream such models. This chapter will discuss 14 separate case studies which employ a variety of models, technologies, investment strategies.
