The Russian Federation has a number of federal executive bodies involved in its national export control system, a significant aspect of which is to identify controlled items and technologies. An independent identification assessment system is also an important instrument for customs and control authorities to expand foreign trade monitoring and prevent the unauthorized use of sensitive items and technologies. The Russian Federation attaches great significance to awareness-raising in foreign trade participants to create conditions whereby the knowledge and practical application of Russian export control rules will be the norm.
