Comprehensibility testing methodology

This instrument aims to provide a methodology for the assessment of the comprehensibility of labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) for chemical hazards. The tool has been developed with a particular focus on addressing the needs of workers and consumers in developing countries. The emphasis of instrument development has been to provide a tool that is, as far as possible, globally applicable taking into account varied levels of literacy and differences in cultural experience.
