Unilateral acts of states

The International Law Commission considered the eighth report on unilateral acts of States at its 2852nd to 2855th meetings, held on 15 and 19–21 July 2005. In accordance with the views expressed by the Working Group on unilateral acts of States and the members of the Commission, as well as the Governments represented in the Sixth Committee of the General Assembly, that report presented a number of examples of unilateral acts of States. While not all of these examples represented unilateral acts in the sense with which the Commission is concerned, they served to facilitate progress in the deliberations on the subject.
