About the 1993 edition of the Yearbook

The YEARBOOK OF THE UNITED NATIONS stands as the single most comprehensive and up-to-date reference tool on the activities of the United Nations. The Department of Public Information of the United Nations remains committed to a timely annual publication of the Yearbook in order to ensure that the research community and the general public receive detailed and current accounts of the work of the United Nations. The efforts to ensure a timely publication of the Yearbook, however, pose the problem of having to rely on provisional documentation and other materials to prepare the relevant articles. As a result, all Security Council resolutions in the present volume are provisional, as the final texts were not available at the time of going to press.
