Law of the sea

The United Nations continued in 2006 to promote universal acceptance of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and its two implementing Agreements on the conservation and management of straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks and to facilitate the work of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
