The national accounts are compiled and disseminated by the national accounts section of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. The definitions and concepts are based on United Nations System of National Accounts of 1993. Data are presented in millions of Kenya shillings. The Department adopted the SNA 1993 in 2005 and provided revision of National accounts statistics based on the new system (SNA 1993) back to 1996. The official estimates are published annually in the "Economic survey" and "Statistical Abstract". The following tables have been prepared from successive replies to the United Nations national accounts questionnaire.
