Introduction to export quality management in Egypt

The Egyptian quality infrastructure comprises of the universally accepted building blocks. Standardization activities are overseen by the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS); accreditation activities by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC); metrology activities are overseen scientifically by the National Standard Institute (NIS), legally by the administration of assay and weights and industrially by public and private entities; and other conformity assessment bodies (testing, certification and inspection) activities are covered by public and private organizations.
