Foreword

To mark the hundredth anniversary of the Statute of the Permanent Court of International Justice (PCIJ), adopted on 13 December 1920, the International Court of Justice has decided to reprint the collection of judgments, advisory opinions and orders of the PCIJ, in recognition of the contribution of its jurisprudence to the development of international law. This reprint reproduces the original volumes as published by the PCIJ in Series A: Collection of Judgments (1923-1930), Series B: Collection of Advisory Opinions (1923-1930) and Series A/B: Collection of Judgments, Orders and Advisory Opinions (from 1931). The official citation of each decision is also included. The cover pages of the judgments, advisory opinions and orders have been lightly edited for consistency.
