Units of measurement and conversions

Metric units of measurement are used throughout the Yearbook. Conversion Factor Tables I through V providethe necessary factors for converting energy data from onemeasurement system (mass or weight, volume or heat) toanother. Unless otherwise stated in the Table Notes, in thecase of solid fuels, liquid fuels and gases, the conversionsare based on the net calorific value.
